Lots of excitement at our house as we got ready for the boys first pine car race. For the past six months, Benjamin and Josh have been attending AWANA at our church. AWANA has been a great experience for our family and the boys love spending time with their friends and doing fun stuff like the Grand Prix.
Benjamin worked real hard and spent a lot of time building and painting his truck. He even got a certificate for his group for "Most Authentic". Josh's group, Cubbies, raced their own matchbox cars since they were too young to build a car of their own. Larry built a silver race car for Josh anyway so that he could race like his brother. I had a hard time keeping him away from the spray paint, Josh loves to paint. I have a blue, silver and sparkly spot in my lawn to prove it. As far as winning.... let's just say that look out next year!
I am so proud of Benjamin and how much he really loves and adores being Grace's big brother. There isn't a thing he wouldn't do for her. He asked if it would be ok to give his sister a ride. The joy on both of their faces was so sweet.
